Dakota County Fair

This year I entered some Lego and pictures to add to the vegetable entries. And I got second place on both of my pictures, second place on my racing boat (check out boat races on another blog). On my Lego house I got fifth place. My vegetables did very well. My gourds got first place and my Jalapenos got first place and Royal Purple ribbon that was called Grand Champion ribbon. My other stuff did well too.

Lego at Ridgedale Center

Today me and dad went to Ridgedale Center and saw Lego historical sites like the Liberty Bell and the Lincoln Memorial. It was pretty cool of all the Lego and it was cool that they could make them. I could still remember a fact that I learned about Paul Revere. I still remember that he made his famous midnight ride on April 18, 1775. There were also these Lego places and one of them had a sewer where the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lives and there were rats. Another one of them had a gigantic snowman and they were working on its nose.

Leprechaun Days Parade

This morning I was in the Leprechaun Days parade with mom. I saw people that I knew on the street side and I saw Owen and Jackson my friends from hockey.

Dakota County History Museum

Today me and dad went to the Dakota County History Museum. We saw a giant floor map of Dakota County and got to see inside of a jail cell and some stuff that's technology. We also got go up by the office's and to the research room where we researched about our ancestors of West St. Paul.

Como Zoo

Today me and mom went to St. Paul and picked up Karen and then we went to the Como Zoo. On our way to the zoo I showed Karen Minecraft lego guys. I could only have the head of the ender dragon and I forgot two of my lego guys. What I forgot was my Lego Minecraft Alex (Alex is a girl) and I also forgot the Iron Golem. Our first exhibit that we went to was the butterfly exhibit and there were these humongous ones. After that we went to the primate area and saw the primates. I got my picture taken by two gorilla statues and a orangutan statue. We went to the Como Town and I went on the rides, the Swing and the Tilt-a-whirl and me and mom went on the Tiger Traxs roller coaster. For lunch we all got Cheetos that Karen brought and my Dove chocolate had a sentence on it the read, "Treat Tuesday like a Friday".

Leprechaun Days Street Hockey Tournament

Today me, mom and dad went to the Street Hockey Tournament at the high school parking lot. Our team color was blue and our team name was The Flying V. Our team was made up of three ice hockey goalies and two ice hockey players. We won our first game against an orange team, the next team we played was the yellow team. We lost that game. A lot of the teams had the same record so they had to mix it up a little and our team got to play in the championship. We lost to a green team, so we got second place. My dad was our coach.

Fencing and boat racing

Today I finished fencing camp and grandpa came for the third and my dad came too. After fencing me and dad went to the 39th annual River Town days where there was boat races. There was a group of fast boats that raced together and a group of slower boats racing together.

Soccer Kick-off Festival

Today me and my dad went to the soccer kick-off festival and there was games you got to play some soccer and soccer golf. I was pretty good at soccer golf. I got my old soccer ball signed by one of the Minnesota United defenseman. All of the soccer kids got to be in a picture with the team mascot the loon.

Pilot Knob Bee Survey

Today me and dad went to Pilot Knob Hill for our second bee survey. Mom had to go to work, so it was just us two. It kind of easy to find a bumble bee, because there were lots of bumble bees. They marked the bumble bees so you don't catch them again so they don't get counted twice. There were 16 volunteers and we collected 81 bumble bees.  There were five different species of bumble bee that we caught today. After we caught bees we planted a seedling of a flower that bees like. Me and dad planted 18 flowers.

Fishing a Lake

Today me and dad went fishing and there was a lot of fish.  We saw a lot of small fish. To get the big fish that I caught I had the bait on the hook and then lifted it up and went to the other side of the dock and got a big fish.

Butterflies and Night Tennis

Today me, mom and dad went to the Minnesota Zoo for the butterflies. There were different types of butterflies. Later me and my dad played tennis under the lights. I worked hard and had fun.

Bees

Today me and my mom and dad went to Lyndale Park in Minneapolis for our first bee survey. We got taught how to catch a bee and it was a little hard finding bees.  Dad was trying to catch two bees at two different times in one container.  And he did it. You might be wondering why there's a picture of a leopard frog. That was because we saw a leopard from there.

Kinnickinnic State Park

Today me and mom went to Kinnickinnic State Park in Wisconsin.  We took hikes all around the park and one of them was the beach where I found lots of rocks.  We went over the near the parking lot and had lunch.  After lunch we went to the playground nearby and there was lots of fun stuff.  It was like American Ninja Warrior.  We started to leave Wisconsin later and we went to Nininger Township in Dakota County near our house.  We went to the driving range and people who didn't want to finish the balls, gave their balls to me.  And I had more practice than mom and dad.

Tennis Tournament

It was a cold day for a Tennis Tournament. I was in the Intermediate group. On my first match I played against Ari and won best of 7 4-0. I now had to play Addison (Addison's a he)It was close but I won again. The next and final game was against Brad. Wait for it, wait for it. I'm guessing you already knew that I won. Well then you are correct.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Bee Camp at Oak Ridge Elementary

This week I had Bee Camp.  On the first day I saw some people that I knew.  I saw my friend Jaymaine and I saw Isabella.  In my class there was Marlene and Juanita and other people I totally did not know.  We had recess and lunch like a normal school day and we researched a lot about bees.  On Wednesday I got to go on a field trip at the Arboretum.  There was a maze there and once you get used to it, it's really easy.  We had lunch at a part of the Arboretum where we got to learn about bees.  We found out that you can eat the honey comb and there is such thing as green or blue bee.  One of the green bees that we saw was called a Green Sweat Bee.  Today I got to show my dad my bee poster and he liked it.  We went to dads work and showed it to his coworkers.

Fishing at Holland Lake in Lebanon

It was a sunny afternoon, me and dad did not know what to do. We went to look on dads weather app. And under fishing was excellent! Me and dad packed and went to Ace Hardware. There was no Wax Worms, so we bought Red Worms.  We went to Lebanon Hills Regional Park and started to fish.  In total I caught 17 fish.  I fed the fish afterwards.

Goalie Camp

Today was my first day of Premier Goaltending goalie camp.  I learned stuff that I did not know and I had lots of fun.

Zoo with Mom

Today me and mom went to the Zoo.  We went to the kangaroos and I saw a kangaroo in between the garbage and the recycling.  After the kangaroos mom let me ride a camel.  After that we went to a playground at the zoo and I hit all three bells on the obstacles.  I tried a new trail mix with mom and then went to a bird show.  One of the birds had a running start and it started flying and hit himself on a chain.  But he was ok.

Golf and Grandma's

Today me and mom went to a driving range that I've never been to near grandma's house in Scandia.  At the driving range we also practiced putting, then we went to Grandma's house.  When we went to Grandma's house we started to leave and go to the Cow Cafe.  And I had Chicken Wild Rice Soup and griddled cheese with bacon.  After we ate lunch we went back to Grandma's house and me and mom taught Grandma how to play Oregon Trail the card card game and mom died first.  Then right at the end Grandma died and I was the only survivor.

The Zoo and Buca

Today I went to the Zoo and we went to the Australian section outside and saw kangaroos.  On our way to kangaroos we saw my third grade teacher Mrs. Hyster.  For dinner we went to Buca and had Chicken Parmesan and some other stuff.  It was a fun day.

Mini Golf & Hockey Pucks

It was the first day of summer vacation. It was a very nice day for Mini Golf. Me and Dad headed off to The Links Mini Golf. I was kind of lucky because I got a hole in one. The hole I got the hole in one in was where you hit the ball into one hole and comes out another by the actual hole. After that we went to a park where we ate lunch. While we ate lunch we watched some Barn Swallows and their nest. After we ate we went to South Dale Center and to The Hockey Lodge. I got four new hockey pucks.
